Thank You!
Thank you very much for your willingness to share a communion and/or offering meditation during our worship services at BCC!  These meditations are a vital part of our worship together.  The thoughts you present help us to focus our hearts and minds on the activity we're about to particiapte in (communion and offering).  A great meditation can touch a heart deeply and be just what a person needed to heear that day--even more that the morning sermon!  So, again, thank you, and I hope the links ON THE FAR RIGHT SIDE OF THIS PAGE will help you prepare and share great meditations that will exalt Christ and challenge the church!

Helpful tips for delievering great meditations.
Here are some "best practice" steps I follow each time I preach.
I think they will also help you deliver a great meditation!

1. Prepare
If you will take a little time in advance to research and find/write (the links on this page shoudl help a lot!) then you will be able to step up to the microphone with much more confidence and peace.

Once you have your meditation thoughts on paper---be sure to read them over on three separate occaions  (prefeably 6 or more hours apart) leading up to your presentation.  This may sound like over-kill, but it actually takes very little effort--just read them over on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.  Doing this will greatly help you to solidify the thoughts in your mind.
2. Pray
It may sound like a no-brainer suggestion, but the fact is we all tend to try to handle things in our own strength too often.  Each tme you go over your meditation--pray first--asking God's peace and blessing to be with you.

3. Focus on God

As you step up to the mic--know that you have prepared and you have prayed.  Now--just enjoy this opportunity to WORSHIP GOD with your meditation.  Don't focus on needing to impress...or actually--don't focus on others at all, but simply on lifting up God through the great thought you've been meditating on the past couple of days.

I hope these thoughts help you!  Don't hesitate to email me at pastorbrad@aol.com if you have any questions.
Blessings,
Pastor Brad.
