Groups @ BCC are all about connecting relationally and developing Christ-centered friendships. God never intended any of us to do life alone. The very first thing that God said was "not good" in the Bible was isolation (Gen. 2:18). The Christian life is a relational life. We are commanded to love one another, serve one another, teach one another, carry each other's burdens, etc. In other words-we're called to do life together. At BCC group life is not something that we "program". Instead we teach (all the time) how vital relationships are to our spiritual health and then we do everything possible to help people connect. At BCC you will find traditional Bible study groups that meet at the church on Sunday mornings and on various days through the week. You will also discover groups that meet in homes during the week. We also recognize that "groups" are not for everyone. Some of us prefer to connect with just one other person. However you want to pursue it---we want to help you connect relationally with other Christ-followers so you can experience the support, love and encouragement you need to grow in Christ. How To Start A New Group We have three goals for our groups: 1. Christ-centered Friendship 2. Spiritual Growth 3. Serve One Another Who Can Lead A Group? We have two requirements for group leaders: 1) You need to be a member at BCC. 2) You need to sit down and talk with Pastor Brad. We just want to be aware of your plan... make sure you understand the above three goals, and help you any way we can to get started. |
